A graduate in cultural anthropology from La Sapienza University, Federico Mento received his Ph.D. in science-ethnoanthropology from the same institute, with a thesis related to urban studies in Latin America. From 2000 to 2003, he was involved in social planning at the Ora d'Aria Association, an organization active in the social and labor reintegration of prisoners. From 2006 to 2008, he worked at the Ministry of Youth Policy and Sport, developing the area related to sports for all. From 2012 to 2019 he directed Human Foundation, while since 2015 he has been Secretary General at Social Value Italia. In addition, he served on the Board of Social Value International. Since 2020 he has been on the Advisory Board of Aimpact- AvanziEtica SICAF EuVECA S.p.A. Since May2020 he has been Director of Ashoka Italia.
